A four week winter intership Program is offered to Mechanical Engineering students in the field of Advanced Manufacturing Processes.

The two week handson workshop on CNC Lathe and Milling Operations

An expert lecture on “recent research trends in polymer and composite materials” was held on 19th December 2024 in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. The lecture was delivered by Prof. Sachin Waigonkar, professor and Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. The expert covered a wide range of topics beginning with a thorough explanation of what composites are.

An industrial visit was organized to Hydro power station Ganderbal to provide practical exposure to real world manufacturing processes. The visit allowed us to understand the operations and role of various machinery, automation etc

This program is designed to equip participants with the essential knowledge and skills required to effectively operate, program, and maintain CNC machines. The training program will be conducted over the course of three days and will feature a blend of theoretical sessions, practical demonstrations, and hands-on exercises. Participants will have the opportunity to delve into the intricacies of CNC machining through interactive sessions led by experienced instructors and industry experts.

A series of special lectures on Computational Fluid Dynamics shall be delivered by one of the renowned faculty members of NIT Srinagar namely Dr.MALIK PARVEEZ, Associate Professor from the Department of Chemical Engineering.

An industrial visit was organized by the department of Mechanical Engineering on September 2023 to mini hydro power station Pahalgam. Students were introduced to key components of hydro electric system , including turbines, generators and control system

The program is scheduled to be held for 3 days starting the 11th of October. upcoming batch of both civil and mechanical engineering departments will be attending the program.

A series of special lectures on Refrigeration & Air Conditioning shall be delivered by one of the renowned faculty members of NIT Srinagar namely Dr. Mohammad Hanief, Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering.

A Three weeks-Workshop will be conducted by the Department of Mechanical Engineering. The Workshop would be conducted by Dr. Farooq Ahmad Bhat.

The workshop on ‘Electric Vehicle from ANSYS’ is going to be conducted by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Institute of Technology in collaboration with ARK Infosolutions. The first presentation of the series on ANSYS Mechanical & CFD will be conducted on the 30th of August,2022 from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm.

NIIT, Srinagar in collaboration with the Institute of Technology (IOT), University of Kashmir will be conducting a 3-day Data Science and Python Programming workshop.

The Directorate of Internal Quality Assurance (DIQA) is organizing a one-day workshop on Fostering the Culture of Entrepreneurship and Innovations on 30th of August,2022 at 10:30 AM to promote the culture of Innovations and patenting at the Institution.

There is going to be a virtual visit of AICTE in Institite of Technology, Zakura Campus, University of Kashmir on 09-04-2026.
