The Student Coordinator is responsible for supporting the department in running the student-specific programs and disseminating necessary information across the department. The Student Coordinator acts as the main liaison between the student and the department’s faculty. The position of the Student Coordinator was established by the department of mechanical engineering to bridge the gap between the faculty and students. The student coordinator acts as the single representative of the department so that the channels of information and duties are streamlined. Furthermore, the student coordinator manages and oversees the departmental student clubs. All the grievances of the students of the mechanical engineering department are put forth before the respective authorities by the Student Coordinator. All the social media channels and the student events are managed and coordinated by him/her.
The Student Coordinator is chosen among the students of the department by the Coordinator of the Mechanical engineering department. The coordinator identifies the student with exceptional academic prowess, a strong sense of responsibility, management, and social skills and appoints him as the Student coordinator.
