We train our students to be productive members of the modern world society at large and specifically suited for research careers in academia, industry and government research laboratories. We lay strong emphasis on class learning coupled with innovative research in a variety of areas. The Mechanical Engineering Program course curriculum is not only robust but rigorous as well. The courses in the program provide a strong foundation in subjects such as engineering mathematics, engineering thermodynamics, engineering mechanics, mechanical behaviour of engineering materials, continuum mechanics, mechanical vibrations, machine design, compressible fluid flow and control theory. Our vision is to create Mechanical Engineering Department as an epitome of quality standards in not only Mechanical Engineering but also in interdisciplinary fields. We are in process of developing sophisticated labs for conducting research at the cutting edge oftechnology to meet the current and future challenges of the society. We emphasize upon the development of leadership qualities and innovative ideas among the students who will be our future entrepreneurs and innovators in the field of Mechanical Engineering.
